Memento Mori (Prime Video)

Social Media Strategy

Memento Mori S.2

Role: Social Media Manager
Period: April 2024 to April 2025
Platform: Instagram
Industry: TV series / entertainment

Project overview

I took over the Instagram account for Memento Mori after season one had already premiered. The account had been inactive for several months and the original content didn’t reflect the aesthetic or tone of the series. My goal was to rebuild the account from scratch, establish a consistent visual identity, and create an engaged community ahead of seasons two and three.

Global Strategy

Objectives

Bring the account back to life after months of inactivity

Establish a visual identity that matched the series

Build anticipation for the upcoming seasons

Strengthen the relationship between cast and audience

Boost reach through video led content and challenges

Target Audience

Fans of Spanish thrillers, crime dramas, and book adaptations, plus viewers who follow character-driven series and cast members. The tone and visuals were shaped for an audience that enjoys darker, atmospheric storytelling.

Strategy & Approach

Memento Mori BeforeMemento Mori After

Rebranding:

  • Shifted the colour palette towards darker tones to reflect the psychological thriller vibe.

  • Rebuilt the feed to look cohesive and cinematic.

Content style:

  • Created a library of video assets using frames from season one.

  • Developed micro-edits, transitions, and clip-based teasers to reintroduce characters and key moments.

  • Focused on high-impact captions and a consistent tone of suspense.

Community-building:

  • Engaged directly with comments and fan theories.

  • Used actor-led content to humanise the series and build stronger audience emotions.

Seasons 2 and 3 content:

  • Designed a full social media strategy for both seasons.

  • Built a detailed launch plan including trailers, cast features, BTS reels, countdowns, and episodic breakdowns.

  • Created onsite content with actors during filming to deepen the audience connection.

  • Planned cross-promotional content for cast accounts.
